About the Role
Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities. A successful Production Manager will be reliable and able to work with little supervision to oversee the planning and day-to- day operations of the fabrication departments.

Schedule: Monday through Friday (overtime as needed)
6:00/7:00 AM – 5:00/6:00 PM
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver fabricated products in a timely fashion
Supervise all production operations such as cutting, fabrication, tempering, insulating, assembly, laminating and loading
Manage the activities of the shop floor by following established procedures and approved processes
Make employment decisions
Resolve employee issues through problem resolution
Education
Requires a B.S. Degree in a technical field, or 5 to 10 years of progressive fabrication experience and responsibilities, 3 of which must be in a supervisory capacity
Requires broad technical and hands-on experience in a fabricating environment
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Have in-depth knowledge of fabricated flat glass products
Will have a thorough knowledge of all fabricating methods, techniques, and related equipment
Basic math skills, the ability to read dimensions and a tape measure
Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Must be familiar with product construction and application
This position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently
Ability to think ahead and plan over a specific time span and prepare action plans to achieve results
Must have strong leadership and organizational skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
Will be computer literate, particularly in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications as well as common software applications like Microsoft Word and Excel
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises the shop floor through a working supervisor and department supervisors

Work Environment
Some physical exertion required. Work takes place in an office and an enclosed warehouse
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk and occasionally bend and move about the facility
Must be able to work in a hot environment
Must wear long pants, sleeved-shirts and sturdy work boots – gloves and protective sleeves as needed
