Exterior Gallery//The Wire

The historic Northwestern Bell Building, in downtown Omaha, was renovated by NuStyle Development in 2014.
The exterior (checkerboard) appearance of the building could not be affected.
Existing gray metal panels with alternating glass glazing was replaced with vision glass to allow new residents views of the city. To achieve Historic Designation, the new printed glass had to replicate the old metal panels.
The Wire is the first project in the world printed with Extra-Durable Surface One (S1) Ceramic Frit.
The printed pattern allows vision out, while replicating the old, no-gloss, gray metal panels from the exterior.
